Mission of the Let’s GROW Project
The Let’s GROW Project started in 2016 when Hillary Clinton was running for the Presidency of the United States. I was upbeat as I saw a woman reaching for a position no woman has ever held in the US. I was so jazzed up about her that I thought what better time for me to make a personal commitment to touch the lives of 2,016 women in some small way. I decided I would host a meaningful one-time high touch, high value coaching conversation with women that would last for 20.16 minutes. Priority would be given to women who had never previously experienced coaching.
One 20-minute coaching call might not be able to accomplish much, but my hope is to plant a seed that will inspire and challenge each woman to stretch beyond her comfort zone.
The conversation will follow the GROW Methodology explained below. In addition to this 20-minute conversation, each person will have access to the Resource Library where they can visit as often as they wish.
Isn’t it ironic that four years after Hillary, we have Kamala Harris, a Black woman of Jamaican and Indian descent, being nominated to be Vice President of the United States, exactly 100 years after women got the right to vote! What better time to return to the core of my original plan and begin to host one-on-one coaching conversations. This is separate from the annual ‘visioning’ event I host in mid January, when a few of us women of gather to plan our vision for the coming year.
If you are interested or you know other women who fit the criteria, encourage them to become a member of the Let’s GROW Project. See details below

What is G.R.O.W.?
The acronym GROW has been popping up all over this website. The concept is not new in coaching circles. It is a model that focuses on a Goal, looks at the Reality, assesses Options / Obstacles / Opportunities, then determines if the Will is present to move forward to goal attainment. For purposes of the Let’s GROW Project, it will be a one-time coaching conversation, focusing on these four steps:
